Illegal structures evicted in Bogura

The Roads and Highways Department (RHD) has evicted illegal establishments, including houses and shops built on the both sides of the Naogaon-Bogra highway, at Santahar upazila in Bogura district on Tuesday.

According to reports, some individuals had been illegally occupying the footpaths of several roads and highways using political powers for a long time. After receiving complaints from the dwellers, a campaign was conducted by the authorities giving notices to remove the illegal structures.

Later, on Tuesday morning, the RHD authorities launched the two-day eviction drive.

Santahar Police Outpost in-charge Habibur Rahman, officials from fire service and electricity department were also present during the raid.
