Ferry services on Shariatpur-Chandpur resume after 8.5 hrs

The ferry services have resumed after 8.5 hours as dense fog cleared on the Shariatpur-Chandpur waterway.

The BIWTC Ghat authorities restored the ferry services to normal from 9 am on Monday (February 3).

Earlier, the services on this route were suspended from 12:30 am on Sunday.

BIWTC Narsinghpur Ferry Ghat Deputy Manager Md. Iqbal Hossain said that heavy fog appeared from Sunday night. Ferry services were suspended from 12:30 am to avoid accidents due to fog. Later, when the dense fog cleared, ferry services were restored to normal around 9 am on Monday.
