Students of Government Titumir College have declared a continuous barricade program from 11 AM to 10 PM on Monday (February 3) as part of their ongoing movement demanding university status for the institution.

The announcement was made during a press conference in front of the colleges main gate at 11 PM on Sunday (February 2).

Earlier, at 6 PM, students launched the blockade under the banner "Barasat Barricade to North City" in response to Education Advisor Professor Dr. Wahiduddin Mahmuds statement that "There is no scope to grant special privileges to Titumir College."

Meanwhile, Dhaka Metropolitan Polices (DMP) Gulshan Traffic Division has confirmed that vehicular movement has resumed following the withdrawal of the protest.

After nearly two hours of blockade, the protesting students withdrew from the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway at around 8 PM and marched back to their campus.
