Cash money, gold ornaments lotted in Sreepur keeping house inmates with tied

Robbers looted eight bhori of gold items and cash amount of Tk 70,000 keeping the house owner and his wife with tied up in Gazipur's Sreepur early Saturday.

The incident happened at about 3AM at Dakkhin Bartopa village.

Sumona Sharmin, sister of the victim, informed that there was the death anniversary of their mother on Friday. All guests, except her brother, his wife and children, left the house at night after attending the programme. Around 3AM, 12 to 14 people, equipped with arms, robbers entered the house breaking the door open and immediately tied up the house inmates. Later the gang took cash money and gold items and fled the scene.

Sreepur Police Station OC Md Jaynal Abedin said a police force has been sent to the spot.
