33 hospitalised with dengue fever in a day

A total of 33 new patients were hospitalised with dengue fever across the country in the last 24 hours till Sunday morning, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

With the new patients, the number of people hospitalised with the disease this year rose to 1,054 while total deaths remains unchanged at nine as no death was reported during this time.

Among the new patients, 12 were hospitalised in the Dhaka metropolitan, three in Khulna Division, four in the Barishal Division, six each in the Dhaka and Chattogram divisions, and one each in Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions.
As many as 159 patients are currently undergoing treatment for dengue in hospitals across the country. Of them, 88 are hospitalised in the capital and 71 are outside Dhaka.

A total of 101,214 patients were hospitalised due to dengue nationwide, with 575 fatalities reported in 2024.
