Youth dies of bee sting in Faridpur, 16 hurt

A young man died and 16 others were injured in bee sting at Madhukhali upazila in Faridpur on Saturday evening.

The deceased, Sushanto Kumar Saha, 38, son of Parimal Kumar Saha was resident of West Garakhola area of the municipality.
Locals said that a bird attacked on bee hive on a tree at West Garakhola area. At that moment, swarm of bees flew around and attacked on pedestrians. Two of the injured were taken to Faridpur Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment.

Madhukhali Upazila Health Comlex Residential Medical Officer Dr. Kabir Sardar said that 17 patients were brought to the hospital with bee sting injuries. One of them, who had at least 20-30 bite marks on his body, died on the way.
