Biman Bangladesh Airlines will operate additional flight on Dhaka-Madina-Dhaka route on every Sunday from February 2 next to meet the growing demand of Saudi bound passengers.

The decision was taken at an emergency meeting between Biman and a delegation from the Association of Travel Agents of Bangladesh (ATAB), led by its president, Abdus Salam Aref.

Dr Md Shafiqur Rahman, Biman Managing Director and CEO, said that in response to ATAB’s appeal, Biman Bangladesh Airlines decided to introduce the additional weekly flight to Madina to alleviate the pressure on the Dhaka-Madina route.
The meeting also focused on addressing the surge in airfares, particularly for Middle Eastern destinations, he added.
