Mohila League leader held in Pabna

Police arrested a leader of Mohila Awami League from Chatmohar upazila of Pabna early Saturday in a case filed under explosive substance act.

The arrestee was Azadi Parvin Pakhi, president of Bhangura upazila unit Mohila Awami League and former vice-chairman.

Monjurul Alam, officer-in-charge of Chatmohar police station, said that Azadi Parvin went into hiding for some days as she was accused in a case. Acting on a tip-off, detective branch of Pabna police arrested her from a house of the upazila.

She will be produced before a court soon, the official added.
