Awami League will not be allowed to participate in the upcoming elections in any way, said Interim government adviser Mahfuz Alam on Saturday.

"Our struggle is for the establishment of a stable democratic Bangladesh. It's a fight to free Bangladesh from Awami fascism. If the Awami League returns to power, fascism will return with it," he made these comment at a street meeting with students and the public in Chandpur's Hajiganj.

"Discussions will be held soon with political parties and stakeholders based on the report of the  reform commission. After that, an elections will be arranged."
