Bangladeshi farmer shot by BSF along C'nawabganj border

India's Border Security Force (BSF) shot a Bangladeshi man along Chapainawabnganj border early Saturday.

Victim Habil was son of Belal, a resident of Telkupi Namopara village under Shahbazpur union of Shibganj upazila.

Shahbazpur union ward no 7 member Md Kashed Ali confirmed the matter around 11AM on Saturday.
Quoting locals, Kashed Ali said around 4AM, Habil went to wheat filed for spreading water. Then BSF opened fire on him, leaving him critically injured.

Habil is not involved in any kind of smuggling and there is no case against him, Kashed added.

He was first taken to Chapainawabganj hospital, but, later, shifted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
