Wife dies of heart attack after husband electrocuted

NETRAKONA, Jan 24: A woman died of heart attack four hours after her husband was electrocuted in the district town on Thursday evening.

The deceased were identified as Rafiqul Islam, son of late Nurul Haque Master, and his wife Reena Parvin, residents of Dakshin Satpai area of the district town.

According to police and local sources, Rafiqul was electrocuted on Thursday evening.
 
Unable to bear his grief, his wife Reena Parveen suffered a heart attack. When her condition was serious, she was first admitted to Netrakona Modern Sadar Hospital. 

Later on, doctors referred her to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. Reena Parveen died there at around 10 pm while undergoing treatment.

The couple is the parents of Mazharul Islam Sunny, former joint general secretary of Netrakona District Unit Chatra Dal, and Fatima Tuz Zahura Jenny.

Officer-in-Charge of Netrakona Model Police Station Kazi Shahnewaz confirmed the incident.
