4 shops gutted in Rangamati fire

At least four shops were burnt into ashes in a fire that broke out at Rangamati�s Tabolchori area early Thursday.

The incident took place at around 3:00am in front of Kali Temple premises in the area.
Rangamati Fire Service deputy director M Ansar said that the fire originated from a shop around 3AM in front of Kali Temple premises and it soon spread to nearby shops.

Locals tried to douse the blaze but failed and informed the Fire Service.

A unit of Rangamati Fire Service rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control after an hour of efforts.

The fire resulted in damage of goods worth around Tk 1 crore, the fire service official added.
