No bomb or bomb-like object has been found on board a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight (BG 356) coming from Rome to Dhaka after a bomb threat was received.
"As per protocol all baggage items checked. Nothing found. We called off search," Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) executive director Group Captain Kamrul Islam said.
He also said, "We are handing over the baggage to the respective passengers."
Earlier, all 250 passengers and 13 crew members were evacuated from the aircraft that landed safely at 9:20am at Dhaka Airport with a bomb threat.
The flight left Leonardo De Vinci Airport in Rome at 8:00pm local time on Tuesday (January 21).
It was reported that a false threat was given by an unnamed person that there is bomb or explosive substance inside a Dhaka-bound flight coming from Rome.
Further details regarding the threat and the search will be shared with the media, said the airport source.
