4.5 lakh yaba pills seized at Teknaf border

The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive seized 4.50 lakh yaba tablets from the Teknaf border in Cox's Bazar early Wednesday.

Commander of Teknaf Battalion-2 Lt Col Ashiqur Rahman said that some members of the drug trafficking gang left two sacks of yaba tablets on the banks of the Naf River and fled to the other side of the border, swimming across the river.

On information, they conducted a drive in the border areas around 1:30AM and recovered 4.50 lakh yaba tablets.
He said no one was held in this connection.

Earlier, on January 12, BGB recovered 2.50 lakh pieces of yaba pills Teknaf Upazila.
