Dengue: One more die, 32 hospitalised

One more died from dengue while 32 more patients were hospitalised with viral in 24 hours till Wednesday morning, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease in Bangladesh now rose to nine this year.

Among the new patients, one was admitted to hospital under Dhaka North City Corporation while nine were hospitalized in Dhaka South City Corporation.
Some 196 patients are receiving treatment in different hospitals across the country.

Last year, dengue claimed the lives of 575 people while 1,705 lives, making it the deadliest year on record, in 2023.
