Robbers loot 8 bhori gold jewellery from journo's house

A group of robbers have broke the grill of a journalists house in Faridpur's Saltha upazila and looted eight bhori of gold items.

The incident happened on Tuesday evening on the seventh floor of an apartment in the city Jhiltuli area.
Victim Shahfiqul Islam is the Saltha upazila correspondent of Dainik Jugantar and also the joint general secretary of upazila press club.

He said he alongwith his family went to his in-laws house at Teli Saltha village. When they returned their Jhiltuli rented flat on Tuesday evening, they found the grill of the house was broken and eight bhori of gold items were looted.

"Legal action will be taken after getting written complaint," said Faridpur Police Station SI Md Morshed.
