Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam has urged healthcare professionals at the Rajarbagh Central Police Hospital to improve service quality through greater professionalism, dedication, and sincerity.

Speaking at a meeting with doctors, nurses, and hospital staff on Tuesday, the IGP emphasized the importance of modernizing the hospital and maintaining high standards of care for police personnel and their families. The meeting followed his inspection of various departments at the hospital in Rajarbagh, Dhaka.

During his address, the IGP commended the healthcare team for their continuous efforts in providing medical services, highlighting the hospital’s significant role in supporting police members and their dependents. He noted that, on average, 4,500 individuals receive medical services daily, with approximately 1,500 undergoing pathology tests. The hospital conducted 712 eye surgeries and 6,467 other surgical procedures last year.

The IGP also reviewed the hospital's digital healthcare facilities, including online registration, outpatient consultations, medicine distribution, and report delivery systems. He visited key units, such as the Emergency Department, Radiology and Imaging, ICU, and Dialysis Unit, observing their service processes and providing guidance to ensure efficiency and quality.

The inspection was accompanied by the Central Police Hospital Director (DIG) Sardar Nurul Amin, Additional DIG (Administration and Finance) Dr. Md. Emdadul Haque, and Superintendent Dr. ABM Md. Khorshed Alam.

The IGP reaffirmed his commitment to enhancing healthcare services at the hospital, emphasizing the need for modernization to meet the growing demands of police personnel and their families.
