Jhut warehouse catches fire in Gazipur

A fire broke out at a jhut (scrap fabric) warehouse at Konabari upazila in Gazipur on Tuesday.

The broke out around 9 PM at Ambag area of the upazila, confirmed Gazipur Fire Service Deputy Assistant Director Mohammad Mamun.
"Upon receiving the news, three firefighting units from Konabari and Bhogra Fire Service Station rushed to the scene and initiated efforts to bring the blaze under control," he said.

However, the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are yet to be determined. No casualties have been reported so far, added the fire service official.
