NATORE, Jan 21: Election Commission office started voter registering programme in the district town on Monday.
A total of 673 trained up collectors and 144 supervisors will collect information from voters. The registering programme will continue till February 3 of this year.
After finishing the data collection, photographs will be taken for the voters at different selected places for the final registration.
Particulars of the voters will be collected from the persons who were born on January 1, 2008 or before that.
Birth certificate, NID of a close relative person, utility bill (gas, electric and water), photocopy of educational qualifications are necessary to be a voter.
Besides, voter's name, parents' name, present and permanent address must be mentioned with this.
Md Nazrul Islam, district election officer, inspected the information centres in Garikhana, Alaipur and Borogachha areas in the town on Monday at 9am.
An announcement to draw public attention regarding the matter was done through mike in different places including religious institutions.
There are 52 unions and 8 municipalities in the district. The number of existing voters in the district is now 15, 24, 815.
The authority expected 76,240 persons may enter into the list as new voters in the district.
