To bring warmth and joy to underprivileged children braving the winter chill, Sombhabona organized its 12th annual Pushpokoli Winter Festival.
The event, held at Gate 5 of Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, saw 300 children enjoy a day of celebration with traditional winter treats, warm clothing, and cultural performances, says a press release.
The festival also featured a lively puppet show by Jalputul Puppets and performances by the children of Pushpokoli School. Warm jackets and other essentials were distributed to keep the children cozy during the winter.
This year, Sombhabona plans to distribute winter clothes to 5,000 cold-affected individuals nationwide, with distribution already completed in 15 institutions across Dhaka, Rangpur, Pabna, and other regions.
