Unidentified child's body found in Jhalakathi

Police recovered the body of an unidentified child from the bank of the Sugandha river at Nalchity upazila in Jhalakathid district on Monday morning.

The information was confirmed by Md Abdus Salam, officer-in-charge of Nalchity Police Station.

Abdus Salam said, "On Monday morning, locals spotted the body in the area and informed the police. Upon receiving the information, the police recovered the body and sent it to Jhalakathi Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy. The estimated age of the child around five days."
