ACC to send Putul’s graft info to WHO thru Foreign Office

The Anti-Corruption Commission is mulling to send graft information about Saima Wazed (Putul), daughter of ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina, to the World Health Organization through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The ACC would send information on Saima Wazed Putul's corruption to the foreign ministry today, said ACC officials.

Putul has been serving as the regional director at the WHO.

Based on ACC's information regarding the corruption case, the foreign ministry might write to the WHO for taking action against Putul, the ACC sources said.

Earlier in October last year, the foreign ministry had informed the WHO of its reluctance to work with Putul. Subsequently, the ACC filed a case against Putul, her mother Sheikh Hasina, and other family members, alleging fraud and forgery to obtain plots in Purbachal.

Now, the ministry is mulling to request action based on the details of that case provided by the ACC.
