3,251 cases filed over violating traffic rule in city

A total of 3,251 cases were filed for violating traffic rules in the capital over the past two days till Friday evening.

Talebur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner (media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), said that the DMP Traffic Department filed the cases during the drives carried out on January 16 and Friday (January 17) as part of the DMP’s ongoing efforts to ensure traffic discipline in Dhaka city.

During the operations, 102 vehicles were dumped, and 43 vehicles were towed for non-compliance with traffic regulations.
The official said such operations will continue to uphold traffic regulations on the city streets.
