3 killed as truck hits motorcycle in Bandarban

Three motorcyclists were killed after being hit by a truck in Bandarban's Alikdam upazila on Saturday noon.

The deceased were identified as Md Belal, 30, Md Minhaz, 18, and Md Sayed Amin, 45.

Quoting the people of the area, police said two passengers were going to Lama from Alikdam by a motorcycle on rent. When the vehicle reached Tarabunia area, a truck from opposite direction hit the bike and the motorcycle fell into a roadside ditch.
The driver and the two passengers fell onto the ground from the bike and died on the scene.

Police are on the spot, said Alikdam Police Station duty officer ASI Ranesh Barua.
