UIU inaugurates CSE FEST 2025

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at United International University (UIU) on Friday inagurated a two-day long "UIU CSE Fest 2025".

The inaugural ceremony of the fest was held at 10:00 AM on Friday at the UIU Campus, United City, Madani Avenue, Dhaka-1212.
The event will hold different types segments, including Blockchain Olympiad, ICT Olympiad, Project Show, Line Following Robot (LFR) and Programming Contest, for inter-college and university students from 17th-18th January 2025.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan, Hon'ble Adviser, Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh was present as the Chief Guest while Shish Haider Chowdhury, ndc, MCIPS (CS), Secretary, Information and Communication Technology Division, GoB was present as the Special Guest. 

The Vice Chancellor of UIU Prof. Dr. Md. Abul Kashem Mia presided over the Ceremony. The welcome speech was delivered by Dr. Suman Ahmmed, Associate Professor, Dept. of CSE, UIU & Organizing Secretary, UIU CSE Fest 2025 and the vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nurul Huda, Head, Dept. of CSE, UIU.

A total of 1500 students from about 80 public and private universities and 30 colleges of Bangladesh are participating in the fest. There will be competitions in various segments, especially for young students of CSE and ICT sectors. A total of 11,00,000 taka will be given as prize money to the winners of different competitions.

In his speech, the chief guest Prof. Dr. Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan called for working for the welfare of people while supporting human values along with technical education. He also encouraged students to make technology relevant to the welfare of the people in solving problems of the country.

The special guestMr. Shish Haider Chowdhury thanked UIU for organizing such a fest at the national level and announced that the ICT Divisionwill always support such programs. At the same time, he called for students to become skilled in technology.

The faculty members, students, officials, academicians, government high officials, ICT experts, journalists and other distinguished guests were present in the program.
