NATORE, Jan 17: A 10-day Bangladesh Small Industries Corporation (BSIC) fair for promoters was inaugurated in BSIC industrial area at Dattapara in the district on Thursday.
Asma Shahin, deputy commissioner (DC)-Natore inaugurated the fair as the chief guest.
A discussion meeting was organized on the fair ground with Dilruba Dipti, district manager of BSIC Natore, in the chair.
Speakers said, the fair should be held every year to encourage the promoters. BSIC can create new job facilities. For this BSIC can play an important role.
Necessary steps need to be taken to expand the present area of BSIC in Natore, they added.
In addition to this, they further said, they will provide gas connection for its industrial purposes very soon.
Shariful Islam, ASP, Md Zafor Byzid, regional director of BSIC-Rajshahi Region, and, Prodip Kumer Agarwala, president of Promoters Owners Association of BSIC Industrial area Natore, were present as special guest.
After the inaugural function, DC Asma Shahin visited all stalls of the fair and expressed satisfaction.
