Ex-BCL leader held in Sylhet

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a leader of banned Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) from Sylhet in a case filed under Explosive Substance Act.

The arrestee was Masuk Ahmed, 30, son of Abdul Mannan of Challain village of Jaintapur Upazila of Sylhet. He was a former president of Jaintapur College unit BCL.

RAB-9 through a press release informed this to media on Thursday night.

It said that Masuk remained absconding in the case filed with the Sylhet Kotwali Model Police Station. Acting on a tip-off, a RAB team conducted a drive on Wednesday midnight and arrested Masuk. Later, RAB handed him over to police.
Drives are continue to nab other accused in the case.
