The trial for the BDR carnage will be held in a temporary court adjacent to Dhaka Central Jail in Keraniganj instead of previous location at Govt Madrasah-e-Alia at Bakshibazar in the capital.

The Law and Justice Division, signed by Law and Justice Division Secretary Sheikh Abu Taher, issued an order to this end on Sunday (January 12).

The move comes after the madrasa students staged demonstrations on Thursday (January 9), demanding to remove the makeshift court from there.

They also set fire to a room of the court. Many documents of the court were burnt in the fire.
