10 brick kilns fined in Rangamati

10 brick kilns were fined Tk 6.80 lakh for manufacturing bricks without approval of the Department of Environment(DoE) at Kaukhali upazila in Rangamati district on Saturday.

The fined was provided during a daylong drive in the upazila led by Kaukhali Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Kazi Atikur Rahman.

At that time, 10 brick kilns were shut down.

Kazi Atikur Rahman said that the upazila administration will continue the drive in the future.

During the drive, the Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Faisal Al Noor, Assistant Director of the DoE Mominul Islam were present, among others.
