In a commanding performance at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Durbar Rajshahi secured a 28-run victory over Khulna Tigers in the 15th match of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) on Friday.

Tigers won the toss and preferred to chase inviting Durbar to bat first. DRs posted a competitive total of 178 for five in their allotted 20 overs.

Mohammad Haris and Jishan Alam gave a good start, standing 44-run partnership as Jishangot out on 23 off 23, while Haris added a brisk 27 from 20 balls to set a solid foundation for Rajshahi.

Quick departure of skipper Anamul Haque Bijoy (7) and SM Mehrob (5) sent Rajshahi to backfoot for a while but the innings was then anchored by Ryan Burl, who played a pivotal unbeaten knock of 48 runs off 29 balls featuring seven boundaries and a six to demonstrate his aggressive intent.

Yasir Ali also made a significant contribution scoring 41 off 25 deliveries and Akbar Ali played a cameo of 21 off just nine balls.

Nasum Ahmed was the standout bowler for Khulna claiming 2 wickets for 20 runs, with Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Abu Haider Rony and Mohammad Nawaz chipping in with a wicket each.

In response, Khulna Tigers faced early setbacks losing opener William Bosisto (6) in the first over and Miraz (1) in the following over.

Despite a fighting 33 off 30 balls from Afif Hossain and a quickfire 17 off 6 balls by Imrul Kayes, the Tigers struggled to build momentum against a disciplined Rajshahi bowling attack.

Among others Naim Sheikh contributed 24 runs as Mahidul Islam Ankon and Nasum both managed 18 runs each before Khulna was eventually bowled out for 150 in 19.3 overs falling short by 28 runs.

Taskin Ahmed, Burl and Shohag Gazi each claimed two wickets respectively for Rajshahi, while Jishan, Meherob, Mrittyunjoy Chowdhury and Shafiul Islam took one wicket apiece.

Ryan Burl's exceptional all-round performance earned him the Player of the Match award, highlighting his significant impact with both bat and ball.
