Police recovered the body of a Russian worker from a washroom at the residential Green City complex of Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant project in Pabna.

The deceased, Ivan Kaitmazov, 40, worked as an electric circuit installer for the project's Skem Company.

According to Ishwardi Police Station inspector Monirul Islam, his body was discovered on Thursday evening in a washroom on the 9th floor of Building 14, Flat No. 95, five days after his death.

Authorities found Kaitmazov with a rope tied around his neck. A Green City doctor confirmed his death at the scene. "Preliminary observations suggest it may have been a suicide but further confirmation awaits the post-mortem examination," Inspector Islam said.

This tragic incident comes shortly after another Russian worker, 40-year-old Pashataruk Ksenella, died on January 4 after allegedly jumping from the fourth floor of a 20-storey building within Green City.
