Ex-MP Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin arrested

Police arrested former lawmaker from Dhaka-10 and former FBCCI President Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin from his Uttara residence in Dhaka on Wednesday afternoon, in a case filed on charges related to suppressing the anti-discrimination student movement.

Md Mohibullah, officer-in-charge (OC) of Uttara East Police Station, said Mohiuddin  was arrested from his residence in Uttara Sector-4. Meanwhile,  no further details were provided.

Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin was elected in the 2020 by-election for the Dhaka-10 constituency.
