DU's Bangabandhu Hall to be named July Shaheed Smrity Bhaban

Dhaka University's newly constructed Jatir Janak Bangabandhu Hall has been renamed.

The new name is July Shaheed Smrity Bhaban as per a decision made by the university administration.

According to the notice, 26 (119), the proposal to name the new 11-storey building, which accommodates 1,000 students, was discussed based on suggestions from students and correspondence from the hall provost.

Students were invited to propose names for the building and submitted suggestions like July Smrity Bhaban, July Biplob Bhaban, July 24 Bhaban and Bijoy 24 Bhaban.
