Businessman hacked to death in Jhalakathi

A businessman was hacked to death by miscreants in Jhalakathi's Sadar Upazila on early Tuesday.

The dead was Sudeb, 28, son of Subrata Haldar, of Betra village in the upazila.

According to family members and police, Sudeb had a mobile phone shop at local Boukathi Bazar. At night, he was returning home after closing his shop. At that time, a gang of miscreants attacked and hacked him to death. In the morning, locals saw his body on the road and informed police.

The police arrived at the scene and recovered the body.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jhalakathi Sadar Police Station Moniruzzaman said that the body has been sent for autopsy at Jhalakathi Sadar Hospital morgue.
