Ferry services on Aricha-Kazirhat route resume after 3 hrs

The ferry services on the Aricha-Kazirhat waterway have resumed after being suspended for 3 hours due to dense fog.

The services resumed at 9:25 am on Monday (January 6).

Earlier, due to increasing fog, the authorities stopped ferry services at around 6:10 am to avoid accidents.

Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Deputy General Manager (Commerce) Nasir Mohammad Chowdhury said that ferry services on the Aricha-Kazirhat waterway were suspended from 6:10 am to avoid accidents due to dense fog in the river.

Later, when the fog started to clear, ferry services were resumed from 9:25 am, he added.
