Medical tests: Coaching centres to remain shut till Jan 22

Coaching centres across the country will remain closed from January 1, 2025, to January 22 due to admission tests to government and private medical colleges, according to a government order.

The Directorate General of Health Education (DGME) issued a notification in this regard on Tuesday (December 31) to ensure transparency in the test.

It is learned that the admission test for MBBS in all government and private medical colleges for the 2024-25 academic year will be held on January 17, while dental colleges' test on February 18.

The exams will be held at 19 centres nationwide simultaneously.

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare's Medical Education-1 branch has ordered the closure of all coaching center activities during this period to ensure maximum transparency, caution and impartiality.
