Three people were found dead in separate incidents in two districts - Brahmanbaria and Manikganj.
BIJOYNAGAR, BRAHMANBARIA: Police recovered the body of a housewife from her residence in Bijoynagar Upazila of the district on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Taslima, 28, wife of Mashuk Mia, a resident of Bagdia Village under Harashpur Union in the upazila.
Sub-Inspector (SI) of Bijoynagar Police Station (PS) Nafiz said that Taslima was found dead on the bed in her room.
Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Brahmanbaria Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
The body bore injury marks on its throat.
The deceased's husband along with his family members went into hiding soon after the incident.
However, the law enforcers are investigating the matter, the SI added.
MANIKGANJ: Police recovered the bodies of two unidentified persons from separate places in Sadar Upazila of the district on Monday.
Of these, a body was recovered from a Pitha shop in front of National Polytechnic Institute (NPI) in Narangai area in the morning. Then the body of another unidentified person was recovered from a rented house of one Mannan Molla in the Police Camp area of Jagir Union.
The Pitha shop owner Md Shahid said, "I saw an unknown person wandering around my shop on Sunday evening. Later, at around 10 pm, I closed the shop and went home. Since the area around the shop was open, it seems that the person came inside the shop and slept at night."
On the other hand, Ripon Mia, a resident of the Police Camp area, said that when the stench of the body spread in the area, the police arrived and recovered the body of an unknown person from Mannan Molla's rented house.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Manikganj Sadar PS SM Aman Ullah confirmed the incidents, saying that police recovered the bodies and sent those to Manikganj Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsies.
However, the law enforcers are investigating the matters and necessary steps would be taken in these regards, the OC added.
