Mehedi Mamun of Daily Bonik Barta and Abdullah Al Mamun of Prothom Alo have been elected as the president and general secretary of the Jahangirnagar University Journalists' Association (JUJA), respectively.
Chief Election Commissioner Prof. Dr. Lutful Elahi announced the election results around 2 p.m. on Monday.
The other elected members are Vice President Bayezid Hassan Rakib of Daily Inqilab, Joint Secretary Jubayer Ahmed of DBC News, Treasurer Razib Raihan of Protidiner Bangladesh, and Office and Publication Secretary Mah Alam of Daily Observer.
