A teenage boy was killed in a head-on collision between a battery-powered easy bike and a CNG-powered tempo in Chittagong's Boalkhali on Friday.
The accident occurred around 5:30 am at Raykhali Bridge on ??Arakan Road in the upazila.
The dead Saimon, 17, son of late Nur Kader, was a resident of Charkhijirpur village under Pashchim Gomdandi union.
According to eyewitnesses, a battery-powered easy bike was on its way from Shakpura to Gomdandi Fultal. On the way, it collided with a CNG-powered tempo coming from the opposite direction. The easy bike's driver Saimon died on the spot.
Boalkhali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Golam Sarwar said that on information, the police recovered the body and seized the two vehicles involved in the accident and brought those to the police station. Legal action is being taken in this regard.
