Two held over inciting RMG sector unrest in Ashulia

Joint Forces have detained two individuals for their alleged involvement in creating instability in the readymade garment sector in the Ashulia industrial area of Savar, Dhaka.

The arrestees were Forkan Ahmed Shawon, 25, an operator of Nasa Basic garments factory, and Md Robiul Khan, 36. The detailed information about the arrestees could not be known immediately.

Superintendent of Police for Ashulia Industrial Zone-1 Mohammad Mominul Islam Bhuiyan confirmed the developments on Friday. He said acting on a tip-off, a team of joint forces conducted drives and arrested the duo from different areas of Ashulia on Thursday night.

During a primary interrogation, the arrestees confessed their involvement in creating instability in the readymade garment sector. Cases will be filed against the arrestees in this connection.
