The government on Thursday formed a seven-member committee led by Chief Adviser's Principal Secretary M Siraj Uddin Miah to review the arrangement of dearness allowances for the civil servants and employees under the National Pay Scale, 2015.
Responding to the demands of the government officials and employees, the Finance Division under the Finance Ministry has formed the committee. In this regards, an office order was issued. Finance Division Deputy Secretary Syed Ali Bin Hasan signed the order.
According to the notification, the committee was formed to recommend the government reviewing the matters of arrangement of dearness allowances for the government officials and employees under the National Pay Scale, 2015.
The notice stated that Chief Adviser's Principal Secretary M. Siraj Uddin Miah was made convener while Public Administration Ministry's Senior Secretary; Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh; Finance Division Secretary; Secretary to the Chief Adviser's Office; Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Division Secretary; Law and Justice Division Secretary and Additional Secretary of the Rules and Regulations Wing of the Finance Division were made members of the committee.
The committee will have the authority to co-opt further members if it is necessary, it stated.
According to the terms of references (ToR), it will analyse the applicability and availability of dearness allowances for the government officials and employees and submit the report to the government.
