Bangladesh Society for the Change and Advocacy Nexus (B-SCAN) on Thursday demanded sustainable rehabilitation of those who embraced disabilities during the July uprising.
B-SCAN, in this regard, hosted an event at RC Majumder Auditorium on Dhaka University (DU) campus with participations of the July victims.
Among others, Jasim Uddin Khan, former Political Science students at DU, shared his memories.

Jasim lost his left eye at Rampura on July 18.

He said he underwent operations two times and doctor said the eye might be completely damaged at one stage.

"I have a BCS viva ahead. I have also passed the 46th BCS preliminary test this year. I don't know if I can take the written exams," he said.

"There are many organisations working for the people who embraced disabilities in July-August. Everyone is talking about treatment. I know it's the top priority now. But I found no one talking about rehabilitation of those who have permanently lost limbs even after being treated," Jasim decried.
