The International Crimes Tribunal's (ICT) investigation agency will interrogate former state minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak on December 18 over allegations linked to internet service disruptions during the mass uprising.
At the same time, the ICT investigation agency will also interrogate him about the actions involving plans for genocide, removal of evidence and isolate Bangladesh globally through internet blackout.
Apart from him, the ICT will interrogate former officer-in-charge of Jatrabari Police Station Abul Hasan on December 15 in a case lodged over the brutal killing of college student Imam Hasan Taim during student-led July-August mass uprising.
The three-member tribunal led by Justice Md Golam Mortuza Mozumder passed an order in this regard, allowing an application filed by Chief Prosecutor Tajul Islam seeking an order in this regard.
The tribunal also set January 15 for submitting the probe report in the case.
The ICT on December 4 showed Abul Hasan arrested in the case lodged over the brutal killing of Imam Hasan Taim.
"The tribunal showed him arrested in ICT-BD miscellaneous case 05/2024. He is the first accused, who has been shown arrested in two cases filed with the tribunal," Prosecutor Abdullah Al Noman said.
Taim, a second-year student at Adamji Nagar Govt College in Narayanganj, was shot from a point-blank range on July 20near the Kajla foot-over bridge.
Policemen took Taim, who was still alive, to Jatrabari Police Station and confirmed his death by torturing and disfiguring his face there, prosecution sources said.
