Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) Thursday forecasted that weather may remain dry for the next 24 hours over the country begins from this morning.
"Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country," said a met office forecast that begins from 9am Thursday.
The well marked low over the Southwest Bay and adjoining areas now lies over the Southwest Bay off Sri Lanka coast. Its associated trough extends up to the North Bay. Ridge of sub-continental high extends upto Bihar and adjoining areas, BSS reports.
Night and day temperature may fall slightly over the country, it added.
Moderate to thick fog may occur at places over northern and northeastern parts of the country and light to moderate fog may occur at places elsewhere over the country during midnight till morning.
Country's maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded 29.5 degree Celsius at Sitakunda in Chattogram district and today's minimum temperature 10.2 degree Celsius was jointly recorded at Gopalganj and Chuadanga districts.
The sun sets at 05.13pm Thursday and rises at 06.32am Friday in the capital.
