The 144th birth anniversary of oppressed public leader Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani was celebrated at the Maulana Bhashani Science and Technology University (MBSTU) through various programs.
On December 12, 2024 (Thursday) at 10 am, the university family paid tribute by placing wreaths at the shrine of Maulana Bhashani. After placing the wreaths, prayers and supplications were offered.
At that time, the director of the university's Student Welfare and Counseling Center, Professor Dr. Md. Fazlul Karim, Proctor Professor Dr. Md. Imam Hossain, Librarian Professor Dr. Md. Abu Zubair, Registrar Dr. Moha: Touhidul Islam, Bhashani Foundation Secretary General Mahmudul Haque Sanu along with teachers, students, officers and employees of various departments were present.
Later, wreaths were laid separately by Maulana Bhashani's family, Maulana Bhashani Memorial Management Committee, University Officers Association, Bhashani Parishad, Bangladesh National Awami Party (NAP Bhashani) and various organizations on the university campus.
In addition, a discussion was held on the shrine premises at 11 am organized by Bhashani Foundation and after Zuhr, a prayer mahfil was held at the Central Jame Mosque organized by the university.
