Victory day football tournament inaugurated

 
Kaptai: The Victory Day Open Knockout Football Tournament 2024 was inaugurated at the KPM Brickfield Ground at Chandraghona, Kaptai on Tuesday afternoon. 

The event was organized by Barghona Torun Sangha Club. MD of KPM Ltd. Shahid Ullah inaugurated the tournament as the chief guest while OC of Kaptai Police station Md. Masud, KPM officials Abdullah Al Mahmud, SM Abdullah Al Mamun, Abul Kashem and Moidul Islam were present as special guests along with local leaders and dignitaries. The event was hosted by Shamsuddin Chowdhury Rocky.
In the opening match, Shaheed Salauddin Quader Chowdhury Memorial Society faced Chandraghona Hundred Club in a 1-1 draw during regular play. The Memorial Society clinched a 3-2 victory in a penalty shootout.
