The government as part of major reshuffle has appointed new superintendents of police (SPs) to 12 districts, transferring previous officers.
A notification by the Public Security Division under the Ministry of Home Affairs was issued to this end on Wednesday.
As per the notification, the 12 SPs were assigned to Rangpur, Chattogram, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dinajpur, Barishal, Gazipur, Manikganj, Gaibandha, Habiganj, Brahmanbaria, and Naogaon.
Meanwhile, this is the first major reshuffle of SPs after the appointment of Baharul Alam as the Inspector General of Police (IGP) on November 20.
