Shomi Kaiser gets ad-interim bail for 3 months 

The High Court (HC) on Tuesday granted ad-interim bail for three months to actress Shomi Kaiser, also former president of the e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (e-CAB), in an attempted murder case filed with Dhaka's Uttara North Police Station in connection with an incident during the Anti-discrimination Student Movement.

The HC bench comprising Justice AKM Asaduzzaman and Justice Syed Enayet Hossain granted the bail after Shomi submitted a petition seeking bail in the case.

Shomi's lawyer Hamidul Misbah said that there is no legal bar to his client's release from Kashimpur Jail following the HC order.
Police arrested Shomi from a house in Uttara on November 5. A Dhaka court sent her to jail on November 9 after her remand ended.
