A public concert will be held at Manik Mia Avenue in Dhaka on the occasion of Victory Day.
BNP leader Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anee, who is also the convener of Shobar Agey Bangladesh, the organisation arranging the concert, made the announcement during a press conference at Gulshan's Uday Tower on Tuesday.
"For the past 15 to 16 years, the people of Bangladesh have not been able to celebrate Victory Day. They have had to face various atrocities and injustices under the fascist Awami League government. Therefore, an initiative has been taken to celebrate Victory Day by uniting the nation this time."
"On Victory Day, we will present ourselves to the people of Bangladesh and the new generation with new expectations. This concert will be held at Manik Mia Avenue from 3pm on Dec 16."
The event promises a diverse lineup of performances, blending classic Bangladeshi music with contemporary sounds.
Artistes Syed Abdul Hadi, Khurshid Alam, Kanak Chapa, Baby Naznin, Monir Khan, Dilshad Nahar Kona, Imran Mahmudul, Preetom Hasan, Moushumi Bhowmik, and Xefer will give solo performances at the musical event. —bdnews24.com
