A seminar on "International Space Station (ISS) based STEM Education" was organized by the Department of Research and Extension at Chattogram University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) on Tuesday.
The event took place at the university's academic council room.
CUET Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiyan attended as the chief guest, and the seminar was presided over by Professor Dr. Sajal Chandra Banik, the Director of the Department of Research and Extension.
In his speech, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Bhuiyan emphasized the global importance of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education. He stated, "STEM education is widely discussed around the world today. It impacts all aspects of people's lives and encourages individuals to dream big."
The seminar also featured other distinguished speakers, including former CUET Vice-Chancellor and Civil Engineering Department Professor Dr. Md. Jahangir Alam, Member of the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission Dr. Imtiaz Kamal, Founder and President of STEMX-365 Mizanul Haque Chowdhury, and Lecturer of the Nuclear Engineering Department Kazi Kamrun Nahar Ananya.
The seminar aimed to highlight the role of the ISS in advancing STEM education and its impact on global learning and innovation.
